Dr. Wai Yong Zheng is a general ophthalmologist serving with the Ministry of Health in Sandakan, Malaysia. Holding an MBBS and fellowships (MRCSEd, FICO, FRCOphth), he focuses on cataract care and comprehensive ophthalmic services. As Vice President of the Malaysian Young Ophthalmologists Special Interest Group (MYOSIG), he actively supports the growth of young professionals in the field. Dr. Wai is deeply involved in research, teaching, and volunteering, working to provide quality eye care to underserved communities. Beyond his medical practice, he enjoys scuba diving, trekking, and wildlife conservation, embracing the rich natural beauty of Sabah, Borneo.
