Dr. Tan Chai Keong achieved his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from University Sains Malaysia in 2018. Following registered under the National Specialist Register of Malaysia (NSR), he pursued his subspeciality training in Glaucoma and complete the national Certificate of Competency in Fellowship Training in Ophthalmology – Glaucoma (CCFT) in 2024, including 1 year of Glaucoma fellowship training from National University Hospital, Singapore.
Prior joining ISEC, Dr. Tan had worked in few hospitals including Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Hospital Temerloh, Hospital Klang, Hospital Kota Bahru, Hospital Selayang and Cataract centre MAIWP. He actively involved in cataract surgery mentoring and teaching of junior eye doctor in government hospital and MAIWP.
Dr. Tan has built a distinguished career in ophthalmology, specializing in glaucoma management including glaucoma surgery, glaucoma related cataract surgery, complicated cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
With a particular focus on glaucoma and glaucoma surgery, Dr. Tan is dedicated to preserving and restoring vision for patients suffering from this challenging condition. His proficiency extends to cataract surgery, including difficult cataract cases, where his precision and surgical acumen have earned him recognition among peers and patients alike.
