Commenced as a medical officer & specialist in KKM hospitals, refining skills & completed postgraduate in Ophthalmology from University Malaya in 2011. Proceeded with cornea fellowships at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India and the Malaysian Corneal Fellowship programme. Certified as a corneal surgeon in 2015 and joined University Malaya in 2016 as Cornea Consultant. Actively involved in teaching and coordinating the UMMP programme for Ophthalmology in University Malaya. Have mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students both clinically and surgically. Organized workshops for cornea procurement and cornea suturing (basic skills) for postgraduate students.
As head of UMERC (University Malaya Eye Research Centre) secured research grants, participated in clinical trials and authored peer-reviewed articles.
