Rohana binti Sahol Hamid is a seasoned nursing professional with over 32 years of experience in Malaysia’s healthcare system. She currently serves as Penyelia Jururawat U7 (Nurse Supervisor) at the Ophthalmology Department, Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
She holds a Diploma in Nursing (1993), a Post-Basic Certificate in Ophthalmic Nursing (2005). She also had experience in assisting in Brachytherapy di Morfields Hospital United Kingdom for 6 weeks (2010)
Rohana began her nursing career in the Medical Department of Hospital Kuala Lumpur (1993-1998) , then transferred to Hospital Dungun (1998 -2004). She began her career in ophthalmology when she transferred to Selangor from Terengganu and placed in the Ophthalmology Department, Hospital Selayang, in 2004. She had experience working in the Ophthalmology Clinic, Wad 6B, and Pusat Perawatan Katarak Maiwp untul 2015. Her contributions in ophthalmology included involvement in Bank Kanta Negara as a coordinator, then involved in refining national ophthalmic nursing practice guidelines from 2015 until 2023.
She is registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board (No. 26178), Puan Rohana is known for her clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to quality patient care, and now she is currently working more in administration as a nurse supervisor. She lives in Selayang, Selangor.
