Dr. Liew On Heong is an experienced ophthalmologist at Synergy Specialist Eye Centre with a focus on corneal diseases and anterior segment care. He completed his fellowship training in Malaysia and Hong Kong by the end of 2019 and has been instrumental in developing Sabah’s cornea service since 2020.
Dr. Liew is skilled in performing advanced corneal surgeries, including Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK), Descemet Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK), and Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK). His clinical expertise extends to managing complex anterior segment inflammatory conditions, with a particular interest in Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis (PUK) and viral keratitis.
Through his dedication and surgical excellence, Dr. Liew continues to provide high-quality eye care, contributing significantly to advancements in corneal health in Malaysia.
