Dr. Kyongjin Cho is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Dankook University Hospital, Dankook University, South Korea. With a robust academic and clinical background, Dr. Cho earned his B.S. from Dankook University in 2005, followed by an M.D. and Ph.D. from the Catholic University of Korea in 2010 and 2014, respectively.
Dr. Cho completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Catholic Medical Center in Seoul and served as a clinical instructor at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. His commitment to international academic exchange led him to a visiting scholarship at Osaka University, Japan, and later as a research fellow at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University (2022–2023).
He actively contributes to professional societies, holding leadership roles across various national ophthalmology organizations, including the Korean Ophthalmological Society, Korean Cornea Society, and Korean Dry Eye Society. His roles span responsibilities in education, finance, academic programming, and international cooperation. He is also a member of global associations such as the World Cornea Society and the Asia Dry Eye Society.
Dr. Cho’s clinical and research interests center on corneal diseases, dry eye, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery, making him a respected voice in both Korean and international ophthalmologic communities.
