Dr. Khairul Anwar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2011 and completed his Housemanship in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan until 2013. Since then, he had been working as a Medical Officer in Klinik Kesihatan Jaya Gading, Kuantan. He then furthered and completed his post graduate studies in Ophthalmology from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Kubang Kerian. He is currently practising as an Ophthalmologist in Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Center @ IIUM (SASMEC @ IIUM) and Ophthalmology lecturer at Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM Kuantan.
Dr. Anwar is actively involved in attending multiple local and international conferences to further expand her knowledge. He is currently venturing into Cornea and External Disease and has been practising Cornea and External Disease in SASMEC @ IIUM. He is currently pursuing a 3-year programme of Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease in IIUM under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Khairidzan Mohd Kamal.
