Dr Kala completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in University Malaya. She also completed her oculoplastic fellowship in Singapore National Eye Centre under the guidance of Dr Sunny Shen. She is currently practicing as consultant ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Oasis Eye Specialists and Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital.
