Dr. Hazlita Dato’ Mohd. Isa is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. She is currently Consultant Ophthalmologist, Medical Director and Co-Founder of Pusat Pakar Mata Eyecare Specialist Eye Center (EYECARE) and visiting consultant ophthalmologist at Gleneagles Hospital KL.

Dr. Hazlita sub-specialises in Medical Retina (diabetic eye diseases, age related macular degenerations, retina vascular occlusion etc) and Uveitis (ocular inflammation) as well as performs refractive cataract surgeries and manages general eye problems such as glaucoma, dry eyes, contact lens related eye disease, eye lid lesions etc.

Dr. Hazlita graduated medicine (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland and subsequently obtained a Doctorate of Ophthalmology (DrOph) at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Thereafter she completed a PhD in Ophthalmology at the University College London (UCL) as well as a fellowship in Uveitis and Medical Retina at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.

Dr. Hazlita is also a member of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (AM Mal) and a certified Uveitis and Medical Retina sub-specialist by the Malaysian Ministry of Health. Previously an Associate Professor and Consultant Ophthalmologist at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur (UKMMC) and Head of the Uveitis and Medical retina unit in the Ophthalmology Department UKMMC, she is regularly invited as a speaker at various international and local ophthalmology conferences. Apart from her deep passion in eye and patient care, Dr. Hazlita is also an ardent advocator for Autism awareness.
