Eswaran Ravi is an experienced Assistant Medical Officer with a decade of service in Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, specializing in ophthalmology. Currently based at Hospital Selayang, he plays a vital role in both the Ophthalmology Clinic and Operating Theatre, ensuring high standards of patient care, surgical assistance, and ophthalmic imaging. 

Eswaran holds a Diploma in Medical Assistance from Kolej Pembantu Perubatan, Seremban, and a Post-Basic Certification in Ophthalmic Care from ILKKM Sungai Buloh. Furthering his expertise, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Open University Malaysia. His technical skills include performing advanced ophthalmic imaging such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), and Fundus Photography, among others.

Beyond clinical work, Eswaran is committed to improving patient recovery experiences through meticulous care planning and inter-professional collaboration. His dedication to maintaining sterile surgical environments and operating room efficiency significantly enhances surgical outcomes.

With fluency in Tamil, English, and Malay, Eswaran bridges communication gaps in diverse patient settings. As a speaker at the Malaysian Ophthalmology Scientific Congress, he aims to share insights from his extensive hands-on experience, advancing ophthalmic medical practices in Malaysia among paramedics.
