I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Gleneagles Hospital Penang. I obtained my medical degree at University Putra Malaysia in 2007, followed by Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology in 2015. I had my post-graduate Ophthalmology training under Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) from 2010-2015. After completion of my Ophthalmology training, I joined the national Medical Retina Fellowship program whereby I had the opportunity to manage complex medical retinal and uveitis cases at major referral centres in Malaysia at Shah Alam Hospital and Selayang Hospital. In 2019, I continued my fellowship training as a clinical and research fellow in Medical Retina & Uveitis under Prof Noemi Lois, Queen’s University Belfast, UK. In 2021, I further pursued Uveitis fellowship training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan under Prof Hwang Yih Shiou; whereby I was exposed to various cases of uveitic and retinal cases requiring surgical intervention. Currently I am practising at Gleneagles Hospital Penang and managing wide variety of medical retinal cases which includes diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, central serous retinal chorioretinopathy and uveitic conditions which involves laser photocoagulation, photodynamic therapy, intravitreal injections, PCR samplings for diagnostic purposes, fundus angiograms, optical coherent tomography scans and others.
