Col (Dr) Aimy Mastura Zurairah binti Yusof is a Military Ophthalmologist with a passion for Cornea and Lens Refractive Surgery. Born on 1 July 1981 in Penang, Malaysia, she obtained her Medical Degree from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2006. She began her medical career as a house officer at Penang General Hospital before serving as a Medical Officer in the Malaysian Armed Forces, where she was stationed in various states, including Penang, Sabah, and Malacca.
In 2010, she expanded her horizons by joining a United Nations (UN) Mission to Western Sahara, contributing her medical expertise in an international setting. She is also a Certified Diving Medical Officer. Her dedication to Ophthalmology led her to pursue a Masters Degree; Doctor of Ophthalmology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), which she completed in 2018. Since then, she has been serving as an Ophthalmologist at Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan, Kuala Lumpur.
With a keen interest in Cornea and Lens Refractive Surgery, she is currently pursuing a fellowship in Refractive Surgery at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) since 2023. Her commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills reflects her dedication to providing the highest quality eye care for her patients.
